Connor ready for new rally season

HALESOWEN rally ace John Connor is ready for a new season in the British Rally Championship Challenge.
The experienced co-driver will once again team up with Norfolk racer Richard Archer when the new season gets under way at the Rallye Sunseeker in Bournemouth later this month.
Archer and Connor formed a partnership last year and made an impressive debut in their first event together, only to have their season cut short by a high speed crash while leading the Ulster Challenge Rally on the final stage.
Former BRCC champion Connor said: “Richard is one of the faster drivers I have sat with so I am sure I am going to be kept on my toes this year.
“We both have good knowledge of all the events but we can’t underestimate some tough competition from other crews in this year’s Championship.”
The duo’s Super 1600 Opel Corsa has been fully rebuilt over the winter for the BRCC which follows the International British Rally Championship across six events in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
