Flooded Saltwells roads reopened

TWO flooded Saltwells roads have reopened this morning.
Coppice Lane and Saltwells Road were reopened to traffic around 5.30am following Monday’s flood, due to a blocked culvert.
The water level was so high that some cars were stranded and had to be rescued and pumps were brought in to try and disperse the water.
Drivers are warned work is still in progress and temporary signals will be in operation.
The blockage has yet to be totally cleared and Dudley Council engineers are advising if the water levels do rise again to the extent that the pumps need to be returned, the roads will be closed again.
